One cannot find much Indian HF and Sita Bhosale, the main character of this novel, is fictional yet her background, thoughts, and actions make this tale a fascinating one. As one reads the story we see Indian culture during takeover by the British. Sita becomes becomes one of the elite queen's guards. As she adapts to her role, we see how she grows into her new life.
