Another great book in this series. Reaver is on a mission to rescue the one person that was around to protect his children even when he couldn't or didn't care. He still had no memories of his life before 30 years ago but Harvester and him go way back before his children were ever thought of. Harvester was Verrine before she voluntary fell from heaven as a spy in Sheoul to get as the Horseman's watcher to protect them as much as she could, but now she was been found out and now she must pay for being a traitor in her father (Satan, before he fell) house, and he will do all kinds of torture that Harvester will face no matter what she must face, but she will face them knowing she did what was right in her opinion and what she know Yenrieth would have wanted for his children. But she never would have thought an arrogant haloed renegade battle angel Reaver to show up and rescue her from her father and Sheoul. While trying to get out of hell Harvester needs blood to heal her wounds from the her torture but the assassins that Reaver hired to get him through and out after getting Harvester but his guides either when missing or so messed up that he had to send the to UG but when she was on her reserves Reaver became her blood meal and that is when memories started to comeback to Reaver from his life from long ago. Turns out he and Verrine where true mates then and had a blood bond but Harvester has to reveal things she never wanted to talk about but Reaver kept asking of her life with Yenrieth and when he hears what happened them and what when down and the hatred she felt for him he will have to find a way to help her no matter what.

As always, Ione does not disappoint. I can never put any of her books down, especially this series. I love how each book focuses on a certain set of characters, but she somehow incorporates ALL her characters and brings them back into each book. Can't wait to start the next one!
