I ordered this book for my daughter, who reads all the AG books from cover to cover. She was not impressed with this one. Thought it was a little skimpy and not as interesting as the other AG books. Could have been a chapter or two in the "Meet Kit" book instead.

Who knew that "Goofy Ruthie" was ever bit as brave and determined as her BFF, Kit? This was a fun story to her Ruthie's side of what happened the day after Christmas.

Ruthie Smithens, a rich bankers daughter is Kit's Best friend. Also, loves Fairy Tales and happy endings does not mind being " Goofy Ruthie" if it makes her best friend KIt Kittredge , smile and forget about the Hardships of the Great Depression of teh 1930s. But when Ruthie finds out that the Kittredges are going to be evicted from their house she makes up her mind to help. Ruthie knows that to bring about a happy ending, she will have to be as smart and brave and determined that she really can be. This is a great book for all ages about the Great Depression. It is amazing at all the ideas that time of folks came up with to get by.
