After a brief overview of the author's credentials as a professional psychic, the book lures the reader into the deep reaches of the mysterious rain forests of Ecuador. Entering the dangerous territory of a head hunting tribe, the author and his wife seek an authentic Shuar shaman who introduces us to the mind enhancing arts of psychonavigation, non-ordinary reality and time journeying. Later, in the high reaches of the Andes, other shaman provide useful spiritual healing techniques while sharing insights and ancient knowledge long forgotten by the modern, Western world. Included are stories of a fire-breathing shaman and a woman who removes negative energy with an egg. In another highly unusual personal healing, a shaman slips a live bee down the author's pants! In a later chapter, the author's wife Shirl, with the encouragement of a Brazilian shaman, contacts the energy of her deceased grandfather in a darkened manteum. In the process, she encounters the physical appearance of an object she initially viewed during a hallucinogenic healing ceremony by the Shuar shaman in the Ecuadorian rain forest. These events catalyze an extremely effective description of spiritualism, how ghosts can be differentiated from spirit guides and how to properly protect oneself when encountering an unknown apparition. Reality Is Just An Illusion is also full of other useful information. It details a safe method to initially meet and maintain contact with personal spirit guides and, in a down-to-earth manner, illustrates how they can be a source of valuable information. The author explains how spirit guides differ from angels, one of whom the author encounters after experiencing car trouble on a deserted road. The book explores three methods of psychic channeling and illustrates a step by step approach to safely maintain contact with one's personal guidance. Describing real adventures, the book covers a variety of metaphysical subjects, ranging from how to select a sacred site to how to feel energy and view auras. It reveals the five healing techniques of mystic shamans and demystifies the process of psychic channeling. It suggests the value of psychic dreaming and touches on out-of-body experiences. The author lists methods to protect oneself from contact with negative energy and undesirable entities and how to bring proper closure to paranormal experiences. It explores the concept of God consciousness and illustrates the view of shamans that reality is, in actuality, an illusion or extension of our belief system. The goal of Reality Is Just An Illusion is to provide the average reader a variety of methods to approach exploration of their spiritual understanding.
