I ordered this book because my family has enjoyed the BBC show "Merlin." I was not familiar with the story of King Arthur and wanted to learn more. This book is meant for young readers, however that may be a stretch. The "Old English" style is difficult to follow and it is not an easy read. The story however, is fascinating. What I thought I knew about King Arthur based on Disney's "Sword in the Stone" movie was so wrong! This book is certainly not a cliff hanger, as all adventures wrap up nicely at the end. I do recommend it though. It is a classic and it's a fun book to read.

A great introduction to classic literature for young or reluctant readers. Great illustrations!
