With a premise of a bibliophile who can control paper and works for the Library of England recovering rare books, I had high hopes for this series.

Unfortunately, the book did not live up to it. The first chapter had some hints it had something to do with the Library, but what exactly was going on was hard to follow, the bad guy doesn't come back later, and the book then wanders away from the library never really to return. The main character turns out to be a distractable scatterbrain. The rest are just loud.

I was not that impressed. I read V1&V2 then quit (V2 wasn't an improvement--I tend to give manga series 2 volumes). I later ended up with V3&V4 as part of a bulk manga purchase so I gave them a shot--they were better, but still not that good and not worth slogging through the rest.

Right. This was a waste of time and money as far as I was concerned. The action was hard to follow, the characters annoying or uninteresting, and the general plot rather stupid. I'm all for seeing book lovers as heroes and paper magic has serious potential, but there must be a better way than this.

From Viz:
Yomiko Readman's love for literature goes far beyond any run-of-the-mill bookworm's! In fact, she has a supernatural ability to manipulate paper in the most amazing ways. From turning a tiny scrap into a lethal throwing dagger to making a single sheet hard enough to block bullets, she's only limited by her imagination. She uses her phenomenal power to seek out legendary books containing secret information that, in the wrong hands, could be dangerous. Backed by a Special Operations Division in England, Yomiko has her hands full battling evildoers, saving the world, and trying to find time to curl up with a good book.
