Good read. The first in a new series.
I liked the "intrigue" that followed this story. It wasn't enough to distract from the h/h, but enough to make me wonder.
The hero / heroine realtionship was nice. Not fantastic, but good. I like books where the h/h feel pulled together from the beginning. Although the story line plays this way, it seems a little forced. It is however, easliy overlooked as the chemistry is forced to surface as their paths are intertwined.
Meeting the secondary characters was interesting. As I understand this to be a 4 part series, I am forced to wonder who will star in future books. Some clues are given, but each character has facets within that could warrent stories. My hope is that Castleford makes a grand reformed appearance at some point:)
Enjoy

As usual, Madeline Hunter delivers a good read with an intriguing story. Sebastian and Audrianna are drawn together by the mystery of her father's complicity in sending bad gunpowder to the war effort against Napoleon. The solving of this debacle has repercussions for both Sebastian and Audrianna. A quick, easy read with a good story at its heart.

True to Madeline Hunter's books. Great read, didn't want to put it down.

This is a good romance with a mystery behind it all. It surprised me in the end.
