Ravensdale's Defiant Captive is one of the best stories I've read written my Ms. Milburne. With a head-strong heroine whose tongue can cut steel and an equally strong hero whose collected calm can side-track any level of tension, this novel has left me satisfied after I've turned the last page. A well-developed storyline, entertaining dialogue, emotionally moving prose, drama, angst and combustible chemistry are common in this hot little book. Melanie Milburne's poetic writing will transport you into the lives of the characters.
