I'm not sure why this book is categorized as Romance because, while there is plenty of sex in the book, it is quite horrific, gory, about werewolves who hunger and feed ravenously, grotesquely, spreading their disease through sex. I loved it, great character development, fantastic ending, my first Ray Garton, can't wait to read Live Girls, as the movie is coming soon! While I did find a few minor editing errors, I would highly recommend this book, a different take on the 'ole werewolf tale.

I received this book in the mail on Monday, 12-29-08, I was very busy clearing snow here at home, however i managed to read and finish it today. It is one of those that you can not put down. Wonderful read.

It's been a while since I've read a worthy werewolf tale -- and this one is a doozie! Smartly written, fast-pasted and brutal, it's a quick and gory read. The author is excellent at infusing his characters with a strong sense of human frailty, compassion, and disbelief ... and his werewolves are masterful creatures: cagey, intelligent, and driven with the need for blood. A wild ride, and highly recommended!

Spoiler Alert: HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE book. This book has taken over the spot of my all time least favorite book. The author has some serious issues with woman and some nasty hang ups about overweight people that are clearly expressed in his writing. This book goes beyond gory horror. I love werewolf stories, whether they are good or evil, doesn't matter but this book was disgusting. At one point the author describes a werewolf killing and devouring a toddler, YES, a 2 year old little girl, and then describes how she was eaten like an ear of corn. Horror and gory are one thing but is it really neccessary to include imagery like this in a novel??? The author develops 2 fantasticly quirky heros only to kill all the "good" guys off in a rushed ending in the last few pages of the book.

The book has a good plot but I think that the author is too vulgar in the narrative

Corking good werewolf tale, forget about King, Laymon, etc. Fast read, really excellent book, it's got everything sex, violence and a good cliffhanger ending. Found mine at a dollar store and I feel that it was an excellent gift!
