Not my favorite couple, but I still like them. Jag and Olivia have a lot of baggage going into this book. Working out ones demons is always a rough ride, but their story is worth telling. This series has been one of my best discoveries, don't let the titles or the cover art fool you. They are not cheesy romance. They have a story and each of the warriors will hook you with theirs. This one felt a little too long but WOW, what a cliff hanger this one has! I won't give it away, but i will be watching the mailbox for the next book.

I love this series by Pamela Palmer. I agree with others in that it was not my favorite one, but a worthwhile story none-the-less. I found it interesting that the sex was muted for the mating ritual at the end of the book. I've heard many complain about the mating ritual, so I wonder if she let that temper the description of it.
So we have another Feral falling for one of the "enemy" this is not my favorite Feral story and of the four so far I would rank it fourth. Jag and Olivia's story pushed it a little far for me when Jag discovers the truth and then informs Oliva that he will keep her secret as long as she does as he bids. Yes he is referring to sex and while they already have an attraction the whole encouter was just a little too victimising for my taste. I am glad a read the story but am now also glad it's over.
Jag is a really spicy, interesting character and he's met his match in Olivia, a Therian Warrior who has been draden-kissed and managed to keep that fact hidden for hundreds of years. She has the power to suck the life out of everyone around her and offers a real threat to Jag and the other Ferals. Lots of good banter and physical battles between the two. Antagonist Jag (who is often only tolerated by one of his brother Ferals)is never easy to get along with but Olivia brings some sense of peace to him.
This is a truly great read.

My favorite couple so far. Before I read this book, I wasn't sure if I could be convinced of any turnaround that Jag would make in his attitude up to this point or believe it if he became "tamed", but I was won over. He and Olivia make a great couple, and Jag's path to obtaining catharsis is believable mostly due to the fact that Olivia has had personal experience in her past that she's able to use to help Jag overcome his main issue. It's great to see Jag find some peace and fulfillment at last. I love the guy on the cover because I think he fits just what I imagined Jag would look like - full of attitude and ready to pounce and give everybody a hard time.
