An exciting telling of the story of Ramses, the pharoah of ancient Egypt. This first volume covers Ramses' youth to early adulthood. Although the book could have been condensed somewhat, it's a very fast and interesting story. The characters are well delineated and the descriptions of the times and places help give a sense of verisimilitude.
The books (there are five volumes in all, although they can each stand on their own) have apparently become a phenomenon in France.

How can an Egyptologist write such drivel and make up an older brother that did not exist. If you want to read brilliant historical fiction placed in Egypt read Pauline Gedge.
I understand making up peripheral characters but not family members that can be verified.
