I bought 10 copies of this book and gave them to my friends with boys-- and one copy for PaperBackSwap.com! I want to live in a world with men who are secure and connected to their emotions. Those men start as boys, and this book is a start at shaping them.

Raising Cain by psychologists Dan Kindlon and Michael Thompson was a series of anecdotes, study results, and conclusions about adolescent boys emotional lives and the resulting behaviors. The authors go into great detail explaining the complex nature of boys' emotions. I've always thought boys and men had simple, straightforward emotions, but this book has convinced me otherwise. This was an eye-opening book for me and one I would recommend for anyone who interacts with a boy (or boys) in their life.
