Never read a book by Jill Shalvis before. I actually thought it would be like the Harlequin Romances, a no-brain reading to get away a bit. Pleasantly surprised that there were several side stories within one, along with relationship building, trust issues, finding that no everyone is the same, acceptance, willing to take a chance and that family is not always bey blood. It did enjoy it and was somewhat curious as to what happens next; it was an easy read that take you to dream-like situations. Yes, it is a romance novel although the word âalbeit' is not used once!
Shalvis is a great contemporary romance writer - the kids are realistic, the hero is a man of honor and the heroine is working on getting strong at her broken places. Delightful & made me cry.
