Very nicely done, well chosen photos, and the text includes facts I didn't know. For example, the Slater Mill of 1793 began operations in 1793 'manned' with nine kids, all twelve years old or younger. By 1800 there were a hundred kids employed, aged four to ten years.
Styles include pinafore, calico, the leg mutton sleeve mentioned in literature, crinoline, bloomers, shirtwaist, middy blouse, and the poodle skirt. When I entered Jr. High School, the older gals looked great in their poodle skirts!
Bibliography, index, glossary, organizations, museums, etc.
No wishes so I took it to the old soldiers' home and Ms. Chandler found it of interest.
PS It seems others looked at it also--I had it in the magazine rack. And yesterday I gave it to Chris the RN for his daughter, so this worked out well (some entertainment for the patients and visitors and I don't have to carry it on the bus back to the 'free' book truck at the library where I found it! Chris says he has seen a picture of his mom in a poodle skirt.
