My mother was given this book when it was first published and it was always a great resource for us. Then as my passion for quilting grew, she bought me my own copy. I have advanced in my quilting as such that I no longer need this book, but it is great for the basics!

This is a great begining quilters quide with great yardage charts, instructions and templates! I have used it for over five quilts, a must have to build your quilt know how.
An excellent book and not outdated. Patterns are for beginners, intermediate and experienced quilters. How to do bindings and other basics explained in clear details.

A full variety of squares. The last chapter devotes itself to a 12 week 3 hr lessons making 12 blocks to put together a sampler quilt. I got my start with this book, working square by square perfecting my art.
