This is a small book with a number of lovely quilt illustrations. Ms. Hall relates a few tidbits of Aunt Jane's wisdom of life, often using the art of quilting as examples. This book and Twelve Golden Threads would be absolutely wonderful books to give to a new bride, especially one who enjoys quilting. The words of wisdom shared along with the stories of life, love, family, children, living, ageing and memories give great insight to all but are especially pertinent for young ladies although anyone reading these books would certainly find a few answers or aids to help them. I know I did, only wished I had read the books earlier in my life.
