A big city accountant becomes a small town shop owner. Good characters, lots of twists and constantly wondering who to trust. 4 stars

Very nice cozy, good mystery, didn't guess the end. Might have missed a clue, but enjoyed the characters, the dog and all the twists and turns. Looking forward to the next one.

As a first book in a series it took me a while to get to know the characters and keep them straight. Seems like a good mystery series. I am looking forward to reading them all.

Fun and easy read. Somewhat predictable, but still fun. I knit and crochet and I have developed a liking for cheesy books about the craft. :)

This is about a San Francisco Accountant who gives up the big city life for a smaller one in Orgeon. I love this book. It was fast-paced and the characters are likable. I will definetely read more from this author.
Good start to a new series. I found the characters well developed and working well together. Adding some instructions for a project might be a nice added touch for future books in this series.

I only read half of this. I thought it was very slow and boring.

Marcy Singer opens a cross stitch shop in quaint Tullalah Falls, Oregon. After her open house, she finds a dead man in her storage room. He scratched a cryptic message into the wall. Soon after, Marcy's landlord is shot. What's the connection? Swindling real estate agents steal local townspeople's identity in order to make a killing. The two dead men are connected somehow. With the help of her best friend, Marcy looks for clues to clear her own name. There are also two love interests in the story.
Why three stars? The plot and setting are fabulous. However, the storyline is wee bit contrived to me. This is the first book in this series, and I have the second and third books, so I'll definitely read at least two more. I'll let you know if I continue with this one.
