At Middle America University a bratty fraternity boy attracted a gorgeous, intelligent woman.
She was a tall, lithe brunette from the United Kingdom. He had arrogance that she easily confused with confident attractiveness. It was the night of their third date, the date where it is culturally appropriate in the Midwest to engage in sexual relations without the female being labeled a whore.

First, it was dinner and banal sentimentalities follow by comedic cinema at the local multiplex. The night ended with candlelight and cheap wine at her apartment.

They kissed passionately until out of the blue he asked, “How many people have you slept with?”
She pursed her lips. “Why does it matter? You know if there is anything significant about my past, I’ll tell you.”

“It just matters,” he replied.

“Okay then, I only slept with one man,” she said.

With a satisfied look on his face he boasted. “Once again I remain the stud.”

“Excuse me?” she replied, appalled at his reaction.

He grinned, “I’ve banged twenty six girls.”

“That’s pathetic,” she said. “That isn’t something to brag about.”

“Baby, don’t be jealous, it just means that you are lucky. The fact that I have done twenty-six women means I’m good in bed. Don’t worry if you aren’t as good as me. Women don’t have to be experience here.”

“Sorry, dear. If you needed to inquire my sexual prowess, you should have asked how many times I had sex. I kept a man in my bed for four years, I’m that good. You going through twenty six women indicates you aren’t that good. Anyways, tonight you demonstrated an awful bedside manner, please leave.”

At the doorway, he turned around and shrugged, cockily mouthing “What?”

She slammed the door in his face, grateful she wasn’t number twenty seven.

This was a great written scene. That guy was a real douche bag and I'm glad she didn't fall for him. I'm really happy to see you post something you wrote Sarah. I hope you stay inspired to keep writing.
