Book 6 in the series was so dull, but you have to read it to move on. You have this sapphire called the Eye of the moon that has powers. Of course those powers wont effect Katie because she is immune to magic. This is a basic premise of all the series, and not a spoiler. The whole story is basically Katie trying to get her hands on this item and running through NYC and the park trying to escape folks, like elves, and gnomes, and other factions that all want this item. It was dull and repetitive, and I am glad I finished it.
Her Granny does show up and does add some spice to the story. I also really liked the Gnome character, but the endless attacks for the last 150 of 307 was dull dull dull.
