An interesting look into one of Henry the 8th's less examined wives, Catherine Howard, wife #5 and cousin to Anne Boleyn. Another book about the political intrigues of the games played in order to enter the inner circle of a king bent on pretending he is neither aging, fat, nor ailing.
First book I've read by Haeger, will look up more of hers.

This book was well written, held my interest and well researched. I love this genre of books and would say the writer was truthful, clear and stayed true to history. The characters were believable and consistantly represented. Good book!
