I love the movie Titanic, so I was really excited to read Queen of the Waves. It reminded me of the movie, but Queen of the Waves is astounding! Spoiled Jacqueline gives her ticket for the maiden voyage of Titanic to Tessa, a young girl who comes from the poorer side of town. Jacqueline rushes off to marry her gardener against her father's wishes and Tessa gets a trip of lifetime. there, she meets Nathan Patterson, a businessman from New York City and they fall in love. The details and historic points are extraordinary and the characters realistic. I really enjoyed this novel, even more so with it's unpredictable ending. Highly recommend!

I dont believe I have read a novel set aboard the Titanicand if I have I know I havent read one written in such a dramatic fashion.

There were twists and turns to this novel, deception and fear, faith and despair that kept emotions at riveting heights. The voice behind this story was engaging at the core and the characters struggles constantly kept the story moving forward.

The first hundred or so pages I wondered what was bringing these multitude of characters from so many walks of life together on one ship, but read far enough and youll find that each one has a careful place to play in the story.

For anyone with any knowledge of American/British history, it was hard to read the scenes aboard the Titanic, knowing that the ship was not long for the high seas. The final scenes as the ship was going down were difficult to read, hoping that the characters Id spent over three hundred pages with were among those going to make it.

I thought that the offerings of this novel were epic, well written and tasteful. I had a sense of being on the ship with the characters, a sense of being there as the ship went down. All in all a very enjoyable read.

This review is my honest opinion. Thanks to the publishers through Litfuse for my copy to review.

My personal Rating- Four Stars (and a half)
{Add a ½ star for those interested in the Titanic.}
This book has been on my TBR for ages now & I've finally gotten to it! Yay! :)
My sister has always been interested in the Titanic and the history surrounding the event, so from a young age, I've heard about it.
While reading just normally about the Titanic can seem, well, a bit depressing, over all the lives lost, author Janice Thompson has many hopeful moments in this novel because of all the faith parts. I so enjoyed all the characters & all the faiths and faith moments in this book.
Each chapter starts out with a date; as 4/14/1912 get closer and closer, my adrenaline kept getting on getting higher on seeing what would happen!
And for those who have watched a certain video of mineâ¦.the main hero's name is Nathan! ;D
