I didn't care for this book. The story tended to jump around in time and sometimes I had a hard time keeping up with when it was taking place. I expected more of a story centered around the husband and wife, but there were many other characters involved.
This was BAD. I'd read Maneater years ago and enjoyed it (I ought to go re-read it to see if it's still any good). For that reason, I've given all her other books a shot and promptly swapped them after forcing myself to finish them (as I'm one of those people who has to finish the book even if I really dislike it). It's not even worth lugging to the beach as a beach read, unfortunately. :(
This book was like going to a movie that was rated R but could have been soo much better if left at PG-13. She TOTALLY OVERUSED the "F" word. I really don't see the point, there were many other words she could have used to describe how her characters felt....although the characters were all SHALLOW and I felt NO connection at all.
Maybe it's because I listened to this as an audiobook, but I loved it. Sometimes the narrators can make or break it, so it could have just been good narration. I haven't read anything else by Grazer but I plan to read others based on this book.
I couldn't put it down. wanted to see what was going to happen next.
