Aunt Cora, the Puzzle Lady, hates puzzles, but she can't resist a good mystery (imagine a drinking, smoking version of Jessica Fletcher). There's plenty of secrets in the New England town of Bakerhaven. It seems some secrets are worth dying for. It's a fun ride as we travel along with the Puzzle Lady, exposing secrets and soliving crimes. Overall, a nice little mystery.

I enjoyed this mystery. Cora is not what she seems and her niece, Sherry, helps her keep her secrets so that she can solve murders. There is a Christmas play going on; a Scotland Yard Inspector, a crazy director; cryptic puzzles; and a lot of actors who are all suspects. Cora is trying to prove that Sherry didn't commit the crime. The characters are well written and the plot complicated. I really liked this story.
