Loved this story, lots of good information about Saddlebreds and the gaits they are shown doing. Interesting and a great mystery. The people and animals as usual are supberb.
This is a fun book to read especially if you like animals and mysteries. The book centers around a saddlebred horse show. I would definitely recommend it to those who like to read mysteries.
a hard to follow read.....didn't enjoy the books and gave up part way into it.
Enough mystery to be interestng, plenty of antics by the animal characters, lots of laughs over Sneaky Pie Brown's input.
I have tried reading all of the 'puss' books and loved finding this one on Swap, having missed it in our local stores.

The animals are my favorite :) This book takes place in KY while Harry and Fair are honeymooning at a Saddlebred horse show. I know nothing about horse shows but the story is full of surprises, deceit, and murder. Leave it to Mrs. Murphy and her friends to reveal who is truly not what he/she seems. I enjoyed the book - a quick read - finished it in one day.
i am from shelby county, kentucky where the setting for this book takes place (Shelbyville Horse Show). it was SO COOL to read this book and know exactly the places she references! it's a cute, fun mystery to read and as a frequent attendee to the Shelbyville Horse Show, it made it even that much more special!
If you're a Rita Mae Brown follower, you know it will be good and for those that aren't, it's quick reading, fun book. Cat lovers will be thrilled to read it.
after reading this book i will always wonder what my cat is thinking when he looks at me.
I have read this whole sereied of Rita Mae Brown's books about a postmistress and her two cats and Yorkie who help her solve mysteries. The animals communicate to each othe and the rest of the animal world and are smarter than the humans! It is a cute, lighthearted mystery series which make great reads. I highly recommend!
I just love these books. They are easy to read and keeps you up finishing it.
