Hurray, we finally get to see how Mary Bennett turned out! Wonderful story about Mary's overall transformation into a more confident and authentic woman. We experience her painful insecurities of being the invisible sister and being flummoxed over the ardent attention of dishy Mr. Henry Walsh along with her growing feelings for him. Their romance isn't without misunderstandings and separation, similar to the romances of her sisters' Elizabeth and Jane. Mary doesn't see herself much changed from that awkward girl she used to be, but the reader notices her newly acquired maturity. Of course, there's the requisite (and delicious) scandal surrounding Lydia because the Bennett family wouldn't be the same without it. Kitty also gets her HEA and we revisit old favorites. This author does a great job of seamlessly integrating new scenarios into the family dynamic in keeping with Jane Austen's style. I powered through this because it was so entertaining. It's an absolute must read for Pride and Prejudice fans. 4.5 stars.

Just as you would have expected Jane Austen to write this story. Loved it!

What a delightful story! I couldn't put it down. Mary was such a underdeveloped character in Pride that I really had to think who she was, however, once you read this book you will always remember who is she and what a fine young lady she has grown into.
