I love Steve Martin--smart, funny, witty, articulate. This wasn't his best work, in my opinion...lots of very brief quips. The fact that they were read aloud by him added something. Die-hard fans may love this.
The title "Pure Drivel" should be awarded a truth in advertising award. The 2 cd's contain 23 tracks of miscellaneous Steve Martin riffs on various subjects. As far as I can remember, 3 or 4 tracks were hilarious; the rest not so much. I'd say Steve Martin has lost several steps over the years.
