Got this for my husband as a gift, but read it myself before I wrapped it up for him. It's hilarious. The author is the frontman for a not-too-shabby punk rock band called Pennywise (the soundtrack to my school years definitely involves this band), and he writes about his experiences as a father, having to reconcile the anarchist "screw authority" attitude with, well, being authoritative with his young daughters. I definitely emapthized with him when he talked about being the only parent at the PTA meetings/bake sales with tattoos and piercings. Good read for anyone who's a punk rock parent. And BTW: My husband loved it too, and he hates reading!

I really enjoyed this book. As a father & a punk rock fan it was great to see how someone else went about balancing the two. It was a funny & insightful book, well worth the read.

I read this on a whim. The first half is hilarious, showing his take on parenting. Then it seemed as if he was telling me the best way to parent, then slowly, I felt like he was airing his dirty laundry and his 'gripes'. Up until that point, it was 5 stars. Some of his comments made me laugh until tears came to my eyes.
