This is really a lovely book with, what appears to me, a wide variety of potential pumpkin dishes. What keeps me from rating it any higher, or keeping the copy I own, is primarily the lack of pictures inside. I like to see pictures of recipes before trying them and this one, other than the beautiful exterior, and the few unrelated illustrations throughout, is picture free. Secondly, many of the dishes don't call for a large amount of pumpkin - three tablespoons or half a cup isn't exactly what I was looking for.
A number of recipes do call for 2 cups or more, but I just couldn't get over that picture hurdle.Guess I'll stick with my tried-and true pumpkin pie recipe and little else.

I bought this book because we were growing pumpkins in our garden. I was seriously disappointed to learn that most of the recipes in this book prefer to use canned pumpkin. I wish I hadn't wasted my money on this book!
