Mr. Jones is a respected genealogist who has spent many years studying, documenting and publishing works regarding the German Palatines. I have met him in person and my copy of this book and the subsequent edition "More Psychic Roots" are signed to me by him. He is a serious and scholarly person, not a "kook" by any means. In this book he explores that situation genealogists often feel when they "luck" upon records they can't believe they found and almost feel as if they were "led" to them. He shares stories that other respected genealogists have told him about this happening to them and their thoughts on it. In one chapter he even covers reincarnation. He states he has had many psychic readings by mediums including the famous Sylvia Browne, who all told him his mission to tell the Palatines' story is simply a desire to complete what he started in another lifetime. I'm not sure I believe in genealogical help from beyond; most times I think it's just luck or coincidence. However, if you have been bit by the genealogy bug, you will enjoy the stories in the book.
