I loved this book, particularly the writing style of this author. It is geared towards tween-young adult but as a 27great year old...I enjoyed the new take on something "paranormal". This is also book 1 in a 3 part series. A word of advice to anyone who reads the series......don't give up on book 2 -Guardian& the Gate! It was slow moving in the first quarter and I went about two weeks after reading the first 3 chapters and the rest of the book. I almost didn't finish...but a friend lent it to me and I knew he'd ask me how I liked it. It would have been a huge mistake! It was so good that I immediately kindled the 3rd book and loved it as well. Looking forward to more from this author.
