3.25. Third in the series and I'm sorry to say it's starting to lose a bit of steam for me. This series, so far, has revolved around a trio of best friends, Sean (book 1), Eric (book 2) and Leo, who is the focus of this book. Jason saved Eric's life and the friend trio were beyond thankful, promising they would do anything for him, any time. So when Jason shows up on Leo's front door, bloodied, disheveled, carrying a small child and desperately searching for Eric, Leo knew it was his duty to help the man.

Jason isn't talking about what happened to him, what kind of trouble he's in, only that he needs and place for a while to keep his daughter, Daisy, safe. It takes a lot for Jason, to trust Leo, but in doing so, falls for him in the process. It takes everything in Leo to push the cop in him aside and just help Jason without pushing too hard. Meanwhile he's falling for Jason and Daisy every day they are with him.

I wanted to love this one, but I had a hard time staying into it. It was good, but not as good as the first two in the series. But in defense of the story, I've been dealing with really irritating interruptions today, so that could also be why I couldn't get into this one. A re-listen at a later date is in order and perhaps my opinion will change.
