I absolutely loved this book and couldn't put it down. There are still nine more books after this one, and all of them are just as good. I hope my faith will be as great as Breanna's

This the is first book in the series of four, and begins with the the piercingly sweet story of a nurse, Breanna, in early rural America. There is a different focus in each book of the series, so it is not entirely focused in nursing--just enough to keep everyone interested. My grandmother gave me this series of books and they are full of the simple, innocent wonder of new Christians.

A sweet Christian romance set on the Oregon Trail. Faith is tested by illness, weather, Indian raids, etc.
I enjoyed the book, although the author has the idea that every last incidental character, even if that person is only mentioned once, such as a person passing on the street, has to have a name and history. Lots of characters with too much information-I found myself always wondering-Do I need to remember this person, or is he just another passing name. The main character peppers most conversations with her being "washed in the Blood" and the converts are many. I'm a Christian and no one I know talks like that constantly.
But, all in all, a nice story, the first in the series.

Great story, I couldn't put it down.Breanna is a true woman of great faith.
This author has researched history to put into the text real happenings. Makes the reading so very interesting while I learn history. I want to read more of his works.
