This is a collection of personal interviews with couples who have had life long marriages. Although there are no two couples exactly alike, some of the necessary ingredients for a successful and rewarding marriage are revealed through their stories. They give many examples of what it means to love, respect, honor, and trust your spouse. This book will help anyone seriously considering marriage to discern if these ingredients are present in their relationship with their intended future spouse. If not, they need to have the courage to walk away and keep growing as well as looking. After all, the problem could indeed be with ourselves.

This book clearly points out that the most important thing is to marry someone who is as committed to you as you are to him or her. Unselfishness, attentiveness, consideration, concern, respect, generosity and kindness pour out of these pages. I wish I had a book like this when I was nineteen! It is as much about being the right person as it is about finding the right person.
