For the second book in The Castaldini Crown trilogy, there are heart wrenching moments and others filled with enough optimism to even make the reader feel elated. Olivia Gates has outdone herself when it comes to emotional entanglements in this engrossing story, as each new detail only draws you more into the lives of the spirited and endearing main couple. THE PRODIGAL PRINCE'S SEDUCTION is a novel of earnest feelings and sizzling passions which will capture your imagination on every riveting page. Their chemistry cracked throughout the entire book. I just loved those two together. And, in typical Olivia Gates fashion, the depth of character was brought out in such sultry sensuality.

Oh, I really did want to like this book. I like almost any book. I am so easy to please in the romance book department. But... despite what I thought was a great and potentially entertaining concept, the book feels so overwritten... on and on goes Olivia Gates, too many words, too many efforts to what.. count words to make the story longer? I have a higher education, yet she lost me so many times - sentences and even full paragraphs of what must have been meant to be pretty prose... was what?? Lost me. Loved the characters, just not the rather pretentious writing style. I stuck it out to the end, but really cannot say it was a good read.
