The Problem of Pain
Author: C. S. Lewis
For centuries Christians have been tormented by one question above all -- 'If God is good and all-powerful, why does he allow his creatures to suffer pain?' C. S. Lewis sets out to disentangle this knotty issue, but wisely adds that in the end no intellectual solution can dispense with the necessity of patience and courage.

C. S. Lewis is by far one of the finest apologeticists of the 20th century. His grasp of things we deal with in life, and how God wishes us to process them is outstanding. I have alway enjoyed a small portion of his writings, and as a result of a reading challenge, am now reading a lot more of his works. This book shows a clear understanding of the fact that pain comes, we can't avoid it, and God expects us to learn and grow from it. I enjoyed learning this more clearly from Mr. Lewis. Read this book. It can rock your world.
