This is the second "Bookshots" novel I have read by Patterson, et al. The first was the Alex Cross story Cross Kill which I thought was okay. This one was on a par with the other Private novels. Very fast-paced (with only 125 pages), with lots of action and some unexpected twists and turns.
The story has Jack Morgan, the head of Private, visiting London prior to the upcoming celebration for the Queen's 90th birthday. Private then gets notified that one of the Royal family, Abbie, the daughter of the Duke of Aldershot has been kidnapped. Private is needed on the case without police involvement or Abbie will be killed. This short novel goes at a frenetic pace with lots of twists, turns, and violence. Overall, a good entry in the Private series. I may be on the lookout for others in the Bookshots series.
