This was my least favorite of all the James Patterson books I have read (which is considerable). It didn't hold my interest and took a long time to read because I kept putting it down. I'm hoping the other "Private" books in the series are more engaging.

This was just 'okay' for me, I didn't really care for the subject of the Olympics being in jeopardy and I didn't read the descriptions of the events and just skimmed over that part. It is an easy read and short chapters to make it go fast, the characters are okay but this series needs something to give it some 'ooomf'

Another pretty good page-turner from the Patterson team. In this one a mad killer is set to sabotage the 2012 Olympic Games in London. He is apparently upset about the modern Olympics and how it demeans the original games. This one has some pretty good twists along the way and overall I would mildly recommend it. It was a little disconcerting though, in that this novel was written before the actual 2012 Olympics and of course the events in the book did not actually happen including descriptions of some of the events and winners. This is the second in the Private series that I have read and will probably read more.

MUCH better than the first Private. Less emphasis on technology and more character development, personalities, people's pasts, and relationship between events at the London olympics, the bad guys (and gals) hoping to destroy them, and the good guys (and gals) intent on stopping them. A really unexpected ending.
