This is the story about missionaries Dayna Curry and Heather Mercer and how they were captured and then later rescued from Afghanistan. It is a wonderful book. I couldn't hardly put it down. I carried it everywhere I went until I had finished reading it.

I highly recommend this for anyone highschool age and above. The women who tell this story show courage and faith; and God's love that permeates their lives is evident throughout their ordeal.

This book was truly captivating, and what an eye-opener! My heart broke for the people of Afghanistan, and after always wondering why anyone would risk their life to help them, I now know why. The atrocities of the world need to be brought to light, and praise God for people like Dayna and Heather, who are doing just that. It is a must read!

This is a fascinating tale of courage under adverse conditions. However, the sad thing part is that the very people the two missionaries helped in Afghanistan would probably eventually suffer torture, or worse because 0f their association with Americans. It has to be recognized that a culture with history dating back thousands of years cannot be changed.
