This book was based on the original 1960s television show of the same name, not the more recent mini-series on AMC. The storyline had substantial differences from the AMC series, but I thought the book was more interesting and easier to follow than the AMC series (I haven't seen the 1960s version so I can't offer comparison to that). Recommended for fans of sci-fi, who will enjoy the futuristic storyline as well as the Orwellian "big brother is watching" theme.
