I've been enjoying this series from Book 1 but unfortunately this one was so boring I just skimmed a lot. Trained Secret Agents are kept like prisoners in a remote island somewhere off of Scotland. It seems they know too many secrets and it is afraid if captured would change the course of the war.

Maggie is contained with a dozen others until it is known a German spy is among them. Agents are murdered one after another, reminiscent of Ten Little Indians. I didn't feel the suspense or tension in this mystery and Maggie's skill and cleverness were not put to any use.

This book was a waste, and not even necessary to the storyline.
