Continuing the saga of Vlad (Dracula) and Stormy and Vlad's dead wife's soul. There is a lot of racing around and capturing only to loose them action, but the story was a little slower than I like. The flashbacks helped to fill in Vlad and Elisabeta's backstory and what happened with Stormy after she was abducted, but the long length of the flashbacks was enough that present reality was lost.
Since I've wondered what happened with Stormy and Vlad after the abduction, I'm glad I got a chance to read this, but a novella might have been a better choice.
Barring all of the negatives, if you are a fan of the "Wings in the Night" series you definitely don't want to miss this installment. The question of who Vlad will choose is left unanswered until the very end and the book is worth reading just to find out what takes place.

I am usually a big fan of Maggie Shayne's vampire books, but this one left me rather cold. The characters didn't connect and the plot was littered with too many intimacy scenes to even be much of a plot. Not my favorite.

Dracula lost his beloved wife 500 years ago when she took her own life thinking he had died in battle. Grief striken - he has the best scorcers in the land perform a magical rite to assure that Elizabeta comes back to him some day. 500 years later, he finds Stormy, the vessle for Elizabeta's soul. While trying to make Stormy remember him, he falls in love with her. But the time has come that he has to choose between his wife of 500 years before and Stormy. Rhiannon, Dracula, Stormy. All characters we have met in previous books. Loved the continuing saga. If you're a fan of the Wings of Night series, you'll like this one too.

Oh My! One of the Wings in the Night books and one of the best. Vlad is the sexiest man I've ever read about. You won't be able to put this one down. And you'll keep opening the front cover to look at the picture... HOT!!!

Very one dimensional characters and too much lack of emotion. Could have been a great story if there was a lot more to it. Seriously, Vlad, The Dracula, is going to be wishy washy and weak when it comes to what he wants? I had issues with the book and was seriously disappointed in both of the lead characters and the entire story line.
