Exiled Russian Prince Nikolas Angelovsky would do anything to win the hand of Emma Stokehurst. When he finally marries her, he doesn't treat her well. He is cold to her and his illegitimate son, Jake. When he is suddenly sent back in time 150 years into the body of his ancestor, he meets Emma again. This time he begins to trust her with his love.
I was very bored with this book. Nikolas is not a likable hero and I just wanted to choke him for the way he treats his wife and son. The time-travel section of the books slows the story down even more. I almost gave up on this one and can't recommend it. My rating: 2 Stars.

This could do without the time travel section, but it's nice to see Nikki & Emma find their love. Sequel to Midnight Angel.

*SPOILERS*
Pros- See how all the great characters introduced in Midnight Angel+nice bed scenes
Cons- Tacky time travel+dragging plot
I really liked watching Emma grow from a gangly, rather awkward teen into a mature young woman but I really disliked Nikolas. His pursuit of Emma and wooing was so sweet and then to have him do a complete 180 and get drunk and sleep around and become a total b*****d. Then the time travel scene was really dragged out; I didn't see the point. It was already given that Nikolas had a sketchy past and there was some justification and hints of his past and feelings prior to the time travelling. The saving grace though was the redemption afterwards, where Nikolas becomes as sweet as he was in the beginning. The epilogue too was very warming.

Great historical romance with an interesting Russian influence.
