The stunning collection of novellas and short stories by masters of the macabre brings to fans and newcomers, an unrelenting spell of horror and suspense.

These are tales that strike beyond sheer terror, as their disturbing visions capture the dark reality we all fear. This is writing that is at once eerie and haunting, chilling and nightmarishly brilliant.

Crafted by the most fertile imaginations of our time, these thirteen stories will suck you into a whirlpool of fear that can only be described as terrifyingly wonderful.

Most of these stories deal with the horror created by one's one mind. None of them evoked horror or even a slight spine-tingle in me. Despite the well-known authors, I did not much care for this collection. I found the history of horror stories in the introduction to be almost the best part of this book. The last story would have made a good novel.
