Michelle Rowen's story was a big disappointment. I am not sure it fits in this book because the relationship between Jill and Declan was so tragic. It was also a bit confusing. It might be more meaningful if I had read Nightshade first. It also didn't go anywhere plot wise.

I really like Ava Gray and this story is no different. I love the two characters. The story was intriguing and Juneau's way of dealing with things is awesome. The plot itself is typical but the characters and interaction made it worth it. It also reads well as a stand alone so you don't necessarily need to read the other books.

Jory Strong story was really convoluted. I didn't finish it. It felt like there were too many words in the way of of the point of the story. If Strong cut down some of her words and just said what she wanted, it might have been more bearable. It was very hard to get into and to like the characters. And what do vaccines have to do with leech treatments? Lame. Some of the statements she made didn't add to the story and just didn't made sense.

Lora Leigh never disappoints with her Breed series. Very typical and satisfying story about Kita and Creed. I actually read Navarro's Promise already so I know where this story is going. Sexy, alpha males as usual. Really, somehow I never get sick of these stories. I'm not sure why because they are really similar but I'm hooked.

I gave it such a low rating because only two of the stories were really worth it.

Bleeding heart by Michelle Rowen not worth the read, very simplistic plot, the heros were so stupid and one dimentional.

Skin & Bone by Ava Gray was excellent, it was the first time I read her, and I'll be looking for her other books, the plot reminded me of Jaime Rush Offspring series, no vampires or werewolfs, a foundation experiment on human to give them unique powers.

Angel-Claimed, read the first 2 pages, didn't hold my interest, so I didn't finish it!

Primal Kiss, the reason I bought the book

This anthology is written by authors adding short stories to series they have in progress. The stories by Michelle Rowen and Jory Strong held no interest for me. Ava Gray's, Skin and Bones was a pretty good stand alone and I will check out more of her writing. Lora Leigh's story about Kita and Creed was typical Lora, alpha male, mating heat and little added to the actual Breed story line. IMHO this was a waste of a credit.

Generally some of these anthology stories have been some of my favorites of the Breed series. It was just way too short & felt like it didn't answer so many of the questions, that have been building in the last books. It barely touched on them. Looking forward to Navarro's Promise to see if has some answers to recent questions. I do love the Breed series because it just keeps continuing on & on.

would have given 5 stars IF i did not need to buy the first book of michelle rowen's book(nightshade is the first book in this series)and "bleeding heart" takes place a few days later, so you really need to read the first one , so it all makes ties together. all other novellas are good on their own too. gotta love lora leigh and jory strong though, and they were awesome. ava gray story is fab too.

Got this to read Primal Kiss by Lora Leigh. This story fits in between Stx's Storm and Navarro's Promise. About a Lion Breed Creed has been undercover in the enemy's headquarters gathering Intel but also falling for Engalls daughter.
