This book is the first in a set of five. I have enjoyed this book immensely. The biblical research appears to be very good and accurate. The story is written so that you feel you are there in the time and place of the tale.

This is an easy, quick read that is enjoyable and is true to the biblical story even though it is fiction. The story focuses on Aaron, who is Moses older brother but does not usually get much credit for his role in delivering his people from slavery. Aaron endures the back breaking work of a slave his entire life in Egypt while Moses lives in a palace and then a fairly comfortable life in Midian. Although they have lived different lives and barely know each other, God uses both men to free the Hebrews from the Pharoahs ruthless tyranny.

I enjoyed this story of the Hebrews release from slavery from a different standpoint and it was written in a straight forward way that is easy for a reader in the 21st century to understand. The dialogue was probably a little too modern for this time period, but it didnt detract from the story.
