A very strong installment to Vincent's werecat series. Faythe, on trial for the "crimes" committed in the last novel, Rogue is faced with some serious challenges in this novel. From losing her status, to finding a teenage tabby in need of someone to trust, to facing off against the Alpha's of other Territories...you can't wait to see what will happen in the final installation of the series.

July 2009 can't get here fast enough.

A great book - it starts out fast and furious and just stays there. This is the third book in the Werecat series and it is just as good, if not better than the other books. There is a lot going on in this book - Faythe is on trial for infecting her human boyfriend, and killing him - capital offenses; You get a taste of Werecat politics with the other Alphas around; a teenage tabby is found, who has been on her own long enough that she doesn't trust anyone except Faythe; There are strays running around causing havoc; and Marc can be facing some serious consequences like being kicked out of the Pride. The action is intense, and you just don't know what is going to happen - all bets are off.

I read this in one sitting - I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen! I highly recommend this book!

We left Faythe in a tangle of problems within her Pride and her love life. Accused of infecting and killing her ex-boyfriend to cover up the infection, things aren't looking good for our heroine. Especially with only one of three tribunal memebers on her side, while the other two are leaning towards execution- partially because Faythe hasn't shacked up with one of their sons or shown any desire to pop out a few kittens. With the arrival of a stray tabby named Kaci Dillon, the Pride is in for some dangerous surprises.

Vincent branches out in this book, allowing Faythe to mature a bit as she comforts the young tabby Kaci. Vincent also introduces the bruin, a whole new vein of shapeshifters. Unlike many authors who are struggling to pad up the books in their series, Vincent keeps the plot exciting and the end will wrap up some questions only to make way for a whole slew of new ones. Not exactly a cliff hanger but just like the end of 'Rouge' I can't wait to see what comes next. These books just keep getting better and better. :)

Absolutly, the best one yet in the series. I had gotten a bit tired of the immature Faythe in the earlier books but in this one she has become a force to be reckoned with. This book grabbed you right from the start and held on to you till the very end. I carried it everywhere I went and even read it in the kitchen when cooking if I had 10 minutes to spare while waiting on water to boil. Can not wait for the next book in this series. I promise you, you will not be disappointed in this book. Just make sure you have read the previous books in this series. You really need the background to understand a lot that is going on.

PRIDE is the third installment of the Werecats series. Faythe is on trial for her life following the death of her ex-boyfriend. She accidently infected Andrew during a partial shift and killed him in self defense. The tribunal is leaning towards the death penalty when strays are discovered nearby. This book explores more of Faythe's relationship with her father and with her estranged boyfriend, Marc. A very good, intense read. I highly recommend it.

Opens with a bang as Fayth is on trial for infecting her ex-boyfriend and killing him. She is being tried by a "jury" of Alphas from other packs, which of course includes live-in-the-past know-it-alls that keep Fayth fuming. Throw in a bunch of strays running around killing humans, a stray teenage tabby with trust issues, and cat politics and you have a fast, fun ride. The only thing I didn't like was Marc being such a stick.

This book I enjoyed more than the 2nd one. This did not have Faythe being whiny all the time imo.
Fast paced, interesting and moved the story further. Faythe faces the music for killing Andrew, who she also infected. But nothing is going smoothly as there are strays in the area, killing humans.
I recommend this one and it makes me look forward to the next!

My Thoughts: This book is great! This is the third book in her series and its as great as the other two! The storyline is pretty unique (werecats). I enjoy learning more and more about each of the characters as the books go along. I also enjoy how Faythe is a strong and independent women. Faythe is part of a pride and they are mostly men so she learns to stick up for herself and hold down her own! I love her and Marc's chemistry. He is sort of a jerk sometimes but that attracts me to him more. He's stubborn and I just love that. If you like any sort of paranormal or even romance, this book is for you. It is really good. You will get hooked and end up staying up all night like I do when I read this series. I love Faythe and Marc together. Their relationship is intense and I enjoy that. Great great book, and great series! One of my favorites!

Overall: Great Great Book! Love this whole series! Can't wait to start the 4th book!

I love love love this series! This installment is a little bit more tedious than most because of all the crazy politics, but the author wants (I believe) to conjure that type of frustration from the reader because that is the emotion that Faythe and all the werecats in the South-central Pride are feeling.
I love that emotional attachment to a book. That is the thing I love most about this series is the emotional response it draws from me, the reader.
I loved the new character brought in and I can't wait to see how see plays out.

Book 3 opens with Faythe being on trial for the murder of her ex-boyfriend. She killed him in self-defense, but the council believes she did it to cover up the fact that she accidentally made him into a stray. Faythe has the unbelievable ability to partially shift and her teeth had nipped him on the ear in a passionate moment. Now her fate is in the council's hands and a few of them are asking for her execution!

They've rented an area with some rugged cabins for complete privacy, but the trial is soon put on a temporary hold. It seems there are some strays terrorizing the mountainside, and humans are being killed. They band together to take out the strays before their existence is disclosed to the humans. But they didn't expect to find a young teenage tabby. Tabby's are very rare, there are only ten known in the USA. Now they must find out whom she belongs to and also keep her safe from the strays that are hunting her. But in order to protect her, Faythe must save her own life first with the council.

I absolutely LOVE this series! One of the best shape-shift series out there in my opinion. The tension is so thick, you could cut it with a knife. The plot is sound and even the Pride politics are explained in a way its easy to follow and understand. Sometimes I want to throttle Faythe, and others I want to just hug her and feed her cake. I can't wait for the next in this series, Prey, that comes out later this year!! Highly recommend to paranormal lovers!!

Okay my advice to anyone who wishes to read this series is for them to get them all prior to reading the first or your longing to get to the completion of the full story will be left hanging. That having been said it is an incredible read and very believable. A total riot at times and a tear jerker to those sensitive at others. I look forward to finding the next in the series and will devour it with relish much as I did this book.

Faythe is on trial for infecting and killing her ex-boyfriend. The Alphas have taken their trial up to a secluded free territory mountain top lodge. In typical Faythe fashion - trouble finds her. A tabby, captured in the surrounding woods, is brought to the group. If that isn't enough a group of misguided strays are set on claiming the free territory and the new found tabby as their own.

This series just keeps getting better with each book.
