When underwater archaeologist Sam McGowan is asked to help salvage a sunken Confederate blockade runner, he's eager for the chance to work with Gordon Chandler, an authority in the field. When he finds Gordon's daughter Rachel in charge, Ssam isn't pleased. But not only has Sam wildly underestimated Rachel's professional abilities, he has yet to discover the many other facets of this stunning, complex woman.

Rachel Chadler has always dreamed of finding sunken treasure and she resents being assigned this ho-hum salvage operation while her father is investigating a pirate ship. Most definitely, she does not want to work with infuriating Sam, who questions her every move. But when she and Sam stumble onto an unexpected cache of gems aboard the wreck, they start dreaming of a future together and falling deeper and deeper...in love.
