This is an awesome book! Especially older teens and adults. It's got over 150 different endings, some funny, some more serious. It's a great book that can teach you the consequences of choices you make. And unlike real life, you can always go back and change your decision!

Very interesting. A fun way to while away some hours. On the first round, I made the choices as close to the choices I made in my youth. And there results didn't end up too far how my life did turn out. It was fun to see the options that I missed.

It was a fun read but I was a little disappointed. It is a neat concept but it seems like the main character is completely screwed up from the beginning and every choice she makes winds up bad in some way or another. I was craving some normal things to happen and her to have a happy ending in more then just a couple of the 150 endings. I found myself wondering what won't she do for sex and how many times are we going to read about meth use gone wrong? Don't get me wrong it is fun but only in small doses.

This book was so interesting to me. Reminded me of the pick your own adventure books that I read when I was a kid-except a LOT MORE HARSH AND VERY MUCH MORE ADULT. But I couldn't stop reading it. Its a lot of fun to see where life takes you. Try it.

I shared the experience of another reviewer that felt too many of the endings were awful. I started the book hoping for some wild adventures of youth that would remind me of things that happened in my life. I couldn't relate to any of it because of the rampant sex, drugs and tragedy in every adventure I read. After about 5 or 6 stories ending in some horrible death I lost interest. I will say choosing this one for a reading group was fun. We compared our adventures and saw how different choices took us down different paths within the same story.

I requested this book because I remember reading this type of 'choose your own ending' books when I was younger and loving them. I really wasn't a fan of this one though....it seemed like every ending had her dying a horrific death. I can imagine the author wanted to tie up loose ends, but does it have to be so depressing...I would be okay with not knowing how she died. It was fun being able to pick SO many different paths though.

The format of the book lets you "try on" different decisions which is great for those of us that second-guess what we do. While I was not really a fan of the format once I started reading, it is something a would recommend for a few minutes of fun.

Not so much with this book... Several of her others are MUCH better.

I too remember and used to love choose-your-own-adventure books when I was young, and I was really disappointed that this didn't capture the same youthful, adventurous spirit. It made me uncomfortable to "be" a character that was constantly abusing drugs or having a lot of grimy one-night-stands. You get very few happy endings here, and those usually come at the end of some awful hardship. It's hard to say who this would appeal to, since there isn't enough darkness, irony, or humor to make this a parody, but there isn't enough realism to make any of the stories resonate with you in any kind of meaningful way. It's an ambitious work, but it's no fun at all. If you're okay with storylines that involve you being raped, being a meth addict, or being brutally murdered, then this may work for you, but I have a feeling most who seek this title out aren't looking for that kind of thing.

I thought choose-your-own-adventure books rocked when I was a kid so I was pretty psyched to read this. This book proved to be entertaining but not especially interesting. It was funny to see how choices impacted the narrator's life but I didn't really find it necessary to read until I'd lived out all 150 endings the cover boasts of.

Entertaining, fun to read with others as a game.

I first heard about his book when the author was interviewed on the radio for another book. I wasnt so interested in that book but I thought this book would be a fun read.

Boy, was I wrong.

Im not sure that Ive read all the possible outcomes for the stories and there are some overlaps but Im done with it.

One the back cover it says: Is it destiny or decision that controls our fate? You cant change your past and start over from scratch in real life but in Pretty Little Mistakes, you can! But be warned, choose wisely.

Well, thats a big ol lie. Seriously, it really doesnt matter which path you chose, the ending pretty much sucked. And, while not all good choices lead to good endings and vice versa, in this book, there doesnt seem to be any possibility of ending up with a good ending. Although, I recall her somehow marrying a rich man through one of the paths. That seemed to be the best ending.

All that said, the stories themselves arent necessarily bad and none of the stories are actually all that long maybe 50 pages at the most.

I was just disappointed that it didnt really seem to matter what path I chose, the ending sucked. But I told you that already.

It's a lot like driving with UBER.
