I believe this is the author's debut novel. SUPERB! If you like Patterson, Child, Sandford, Connolly - this is for you. The characters had wonderful depth, the plot kept you up late turning pages... I look forward to reading more of this author.

I really enjoyed the hunt for the Southern Strangler. He put lietenant Taylor Jackson and FBI agent John Baldwin through their paces. Once the FBI took over, Taylor was left behind to work other cases. Her work on the serial rapist case was great. I enjoyed the hands-on take down by Taylor. You go girl! The romance between Taylor and Baldwin was as sweet as it could possibly be given they are two hard-boiled cops.

This is supposed to be the first novel in the Taylor Jackson series, but there were somethings that were talked about that happened before...before what? These things were left hanging and hopefully will become clearer in future books.

There was really good character development - her detectives were real to me as was the reporter and even the killer. It will be interesting to see how they develop in future novels. All in all, eventhough it was a tad gruesome, I thoroughly enoyed this book.

Another great suspensful mystery from J.T. Ellison. Women's bodies are being found across the south, dumped by the roadside with no hands. As the number of killing rise, the brutality to the bodies rises as well. Nashville homicide lieutenant, Taylor Jackson and her lover, FBI profiler, John Baldwin are in hot pursute of the killer. Taylor stays in Nashville following leads while Bladwin is on the road following the killers trail. This is a good page turner with good subplots and interesting characters.

I anjoyed this book. The book was fast paced and exciting. There were parts in the begining that I thought I had read before, but it did not take away from the story. Even though I figured out who the villian was I wanted to keep reading to see how that person would be caught. This story takes place in Nashville, it makes me want to visit there.

Excellent thriller. I just found this author and this is the first book I've read by her, loved it. She writes sequels and I really enjoy books that continue. Will definately look for others to rad to continue the story.

I enjoyed this first book in a series but wouldn't go crazy recommending it to anyone. I thought that the book was just a little too long and that there was something missing. I'm not sure that it's because I thought that the who and the why were a little far fetched. Will continue with the series and see where it goes.

This is the 1st book in the Taylor Jackson series. It was on OK mystery with loads of murder & forensic speak. I think there were too many side stories & gaps in the plot. I knew who the murderer was not too far into the story. A little too many characters & a side murder that didn't go with the rest of the story. I'm not sure if I will reads the next book in the series.

This is a good introductory novel to the main character. I read this in one day on the beach. It moved quickly, jad some layers to it and overall was a quick thrilling read.

I have been getting a copy of every book written by this author. Needless to say I enjoy the style of writing & character development! The setting for all novels is Nashville, TN which is the capitol of my state. It makes the books seem almost personal to me, having lived there previously. I would recommend them to anyone who enjoys a great mystery.
