It was truly an intriguing love story. Good, fast read.
I loved this story, heartwarming.
I enjoyed the book, lots of family members and secrets were shared in it. Great storyline and suspense.
An insipid little Christmas romance set in England. Goes back and forth in time but light on the story line. No sexual content. Fast, easy read, good for relaxing with before sleep.
Awesome!!!!!
This Christmas story featuring the Malory family-is indeed a "Present"
Johanna Lindsey is a firm favorite for classic historical romance.
I love all the Malory books including this one.
So this was a great read. Very quick, but a lot of fun. You get a little taste of all the Malorys together and you get to here the story of their Gypsy grandmother and family secrets. A nice book.
was a great book. i couldn't put it down.
A good look at the Malory family history, wound into a "modern" tale of the family.
Quick read, ties up some loose ends. Fun!
Excellent!!!
The Mallory family at Christmas.... a present is placed in the parlor while no one is watching, and no one knows who put it there. The mystery present brings together two new lovers, and two old lovers in the memory of a past love. Johanna Lindsey is a trusted read every time....
heartwarming story of how an old journal's account of a love story blesses the descendants who are at odds with each other.
Romance Historical
The Present finds the Malory clan gathered at their ancestral estate to celebrate the holidays. To add to the excitement, a beautifully wrapped gift has mysteriously appeared in the parlor. No one knows who placed it there and Jason Malory, the eldest and only permanent resident of Haverston, has no inkling that the intriguing package is about to change his life forever. What connection does the gaily wrapped gift have with the unmarked grave in the meadow? Was the great-great-grandmother of this generation of Malory's a Gypsy or a Russian Princess? Or both? How will the Malory clan accept the secrets revealed by this wonderful Christmas gift? The Present is a charming, warm, and amusing visit with the much-loved members of the fascinating Malory family.--Review from Amazon.com
The Malory Series.
The gift is an old journal--a tender and tempestuous account of the love affair between the second Marquis, Christopher Malory and dark gypsy beauty named Anastasia, who seeks a love match with a non-gypsy in order to save herself from a prearranged marriage.
Malory's...always a good read.
